1/27/07-Henry Released From Jail:  Oft-trouble Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry was released from the Kenton County Jail on Saturday after serving his two-day sentence after pleading guilty to giving alcohol to minors in his hotel room last spring.  Henry, who has two other charges on his resume', is one of 9 Bengals players who have been in some type of trouble with the law in the past year.  (ESPN)

1/27/07-Chargers Find New Offensive Coordinator:  After seeing Cam Cameron bolt to become the new Miami Dolphins head coach, the San Diego Chargers have announced that running backs coach Clarence Shelmon will become the team's new offensive coordinator.  Shelmon, 54, has been credited with helping the development of the team's record-breaking RB LaDainian Tomlinson.  (ESPN)

1/27/07-49ers Trying to Retain Norv Turner:  The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly offering OC Norv Turner a "lucrative" offer to remain with the club.  Turner widely considered one of the league's better offensive minds is linked towards the Cowboys vacant coaching position.  If Turner is hired by the Cowboys, expect him to be a mentor towards young OC Jason Garrett.  (ESPN)

1/26/07-Freeney Advocates Tougher Steroid Policy:  Indianapolis Colts DE Dwight Freeney endorses the new-NFL steroid policy but wants to see Olympic-style testing.  Freeney told the Associated Press "It's a shame guys get rewarded for that, and Shawne (Merriman) is a prime example. I got to know him at the Pro Bowl, and I know he's a good guy. But what kind of message is that if you get away with cheating and you still reap the benefits?".  Shawne Merriman, the Chargers prized linebacker, finished 3rd in the Defensive Player of the Year voting and is in the Pro Bowl this season.  (Fox Sports)

1/26/07-Chiefs sign Mexican OL prospect:  The Kansas City Chiefs have signed Mexican standout OL Ramiro Pruneda to a two-year deal.  Pruneda, who weighs in at 6'6, 317 pounds, helped lead Monterrey Tech to four national championships.  Pruneda was supposed to play in NFL Europe last year but pulled out due to a knee injury.  (NFL.com)
